The Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) offer a 45° angled viewing perspective. It is designed with an oversized objective, superior glass and highly specialised optical coatings for bright and clear images over the entire magnification range and in all lighting conditions.
Increased light transmission, minimal distortion, and almost zero chromatic aberrations are achieved as a result of the triplet apochromatic lens that is made from high-density (HD) extra-low dispersion glass. All air-to-glass surfaces have Vortex's XRPlus anti-reflective coatings to minimise light loss and maximise image brightness, while the Porro prisms have highly reflective dielectric coatings that improve brightness, clarity, and colour accuracy. This specialised combination of coatings and optics creates a spotting scope producing bright, clear, high-contrast images with accurate colour rendition.
The Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) is constructed with a lightweight and armoured magnesium chassis that is O-ring sealed and argon-filled, making it fog- and water-proof. A curved, textured focus system allows for wide, fast, yet precise adjustments, even when wearing gloves. The scope has a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting shoe and a tripod collar that rotates to permit the eyepiece to be positioned in the best viewing position.

The eyepeice on the Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) offers a 27-60x zoom while the objective lens offers an 85mm. It features a traditional Porro Prism optical light path.

Use and Handling
The eyepiece is set at 45° to the optical tube for comfortable veiwing, standing, sitting or lying. A curved, textured focus system allows for wide, fast, yet precise adjustments, even when wearing gloves.
The scope features a 3-1.4mm exit pupil with a twist-up rubber eyecup for easy use with or without eyeware and a 17-16.7mm eye relief.
The scope has a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting shoe and a tripod collar that rotates to permit the eyepiece to be positioned in the best viewing position.
Construction Details
The Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing) features a lightweight, corrosion-resistant die-cast magnesium-alloy chassis that is rubberised, enabling slip-resistant handling.
When moving through extreme weather conditions, the optical tube is argon-filled to prevent internal fogging. In addition to this, the the cassis is O-ring sealed to prevent moisture, dust and debris from intering the optical tube.
