While we haven't been given too much detail on this new addition to Canon's Mirrorless range we do know that Canon is focusing on improving workflow for its mirrorless operators with improvements in "speed, comfort, and high-image-quality." There's the promise of a newly developed full-frame CMOS sensor, an electronic shutter offering 20fps and mechanical shutter offering 12fps. A massive step-up in video offers users the ability to record in 8K and a higher video resolution gives users the ability to extract high-resolution stills or make use of the extra resolution to generate improved 4K footage.

Canon's new RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lens promises to reach true super telephoto territory for users of Canon's full-frame mirrorless cameras, and the two new extenders gives a serious boost to the reach of select RF lenses.
